The Furch Guitars story began all the way back in the 1970's, in former Czechoslovakia. Musician and metal worker Frantisek Furch, faced with the complete unavailability of high-quality musical instruments in the then socialist nation, took matters into his own hands. The passion and craft he poured into his art continues to this day with Furch Guitars, where their team of extremely talented luthiers and designers turn out some of the finest instruments we've had our hands on, built from the finest materials with a host of innovative technologies to boot.

The Grand Auditorium body shape with cutaway lends itself to basically any playing style, fingerpicked or strummed. The combination of a Spruce top and Rosewood back & sides is a timeless classic, with further fine fittings including the premium Koa rosette, Ziricote bridge, fingerboard and headstock face and Mother-of-Pearl inlays throughout. All matched together, here they look every bit as stunning as they sound, Paired with Furch's Resonance Enhancing Finish process, that sound is truly outstanding.

 The Red Gc-SR Master's Choice is also fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Anthem system, which combines an undersaddle piezo pickup and internal microphone, paired with a stunning preamp for unparalleled plugged-in tone.

AAA Grade Tonewoods

Like all Furch guitars, this fine piece sports some of the finest tonewoods available. A AAA grade Sitka Spruce top is paired with exquisite AAA grade Indian Rosewood back and sides for a classic tonal combination that lends itself equally to ensemble performance, solo playing or solo accompaniment.

Further top grade wood appointments include the Ziricote fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay, as well as the premium Koa soundhole rosette.

Furch CNR System

Furch have never been afraid to push the boundaries of technology in their instruments, and the Composite Neck Reinforcement System demonstrates this. This system combines a highly adjustable dual-action truss rod placed inside a carbon fibre casing with a special alloy casting in the neck heel to ensure perfect angle of alignment between the neck and body, and maximum durability of the neck in the face of temperature and humidity changes.

The net result of this is a guitar that plays better and stands up to the trials of gigging and touring better. Also, thanks to the extremely lightweight nature of this system, the guitar's top is minimally impacted by material from the neck join, allowing it to vibrate more freely than a traditionally built neck join.

LR Baggs StagePro Anthem system delivers a stunning combo system of an internal mic and high grade undersaddle piezo pickup, teamed up with a stunning quality preamp to deliver a fantastically accurate representation of your guitar's natural tone. The Anthem's powerful tone shaping controls include Bass and Treble controls, phase inversion, a notch filter and highly efficient feedback suppression.
