What we say:

At A Glance

The Furch Blue OM-MM represents Furch's commitment to building fantastic instruments with passion and innovation. The Blue OM-MM sports all AA Grade African Mahogany construction throughout.

The Furch Guitars story began all the way back in the 1970's, in former Czechoslovakia. Musician and metal worker Frantisek Furch, faced with the complete unavailability of high-quality musical instruments in the then socialist nation, took matters into his own hands. The passion and craft he poured into his art continues to this day with Furch Guitars, where their team of extremely talented luthiers and designers turn out some of the finest instruments we've had our hands on, built from the finest materials with a host of innovative technologies to boot.

The more compact OM body size makes for a wonderfully comfortable playing experience. The all AA Grade African Mahogany construction makes for a handsome instrument with a meaty, earthy tone, and further fine fittings including the double ring rosette with walnut inlay and ebony bridge, fingerboard and headstock face. All matched together, here they look every bit as stunning as they sound, Paired with Furch's Open-Pore Finish process, that sound is truly outstanding.

Features We Love:

AA Grade Tonewood

Like all Furch guitars, this fine piece sports some of the finest tonewood available. The all AA Grade African Mahogany construction of this instrument imparts a meaty, earthy midrange sound with a pronounced fundamental that's particularly popular with roots and blues style players.

Further top grade wood appointments include the ebony fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay, as well as the double ring soundhole rosette with black walnut inlay.

Furch CNR System

Furch have never been afraid to push the boundaries of technology in their instruments, and the Composite Neck Reinforcement System demonstrates this. This system combines a highly adjustable dual-action truss rod placed inside a carbon fibre casing with a special alloy casting in the neck heel to ensure perfect angle of alignment between the neck and body, and maximum durability of the neck in the face of temperature and humidity changes.

The net result of this is a guitar that plays better and stands up to the trials of gigging and touring better. Also, thanks to the extremely lightweight nature of this system, the guitar's top is minimally impacted by material from the neck join, allowing it to vibrate more freely than a traditionally built neck join.

Open Pore Finish

Another of Furch's superb developments is their Open-Pore Finish process, which provides an excellent level of surface protection to your instrument, while promoting the natural sonic qualities of the tonewoods for a stunning sound.

Who Is It For?

The discerning player looking for a reliable, high quality instrument that's still something a little different.

Highlights:

  • Stunning choice of tonewoods throughout
  • All AA Grade African Mahogany construction
  • Compact and comfortable OM body shape
  • Top grade cosmetic appointments
