What we say:
At A Glance:
The MXR M306 Poly Blue Octave is an expanded octaver pedal that offers polyphonic octave shifting and combines it with fuzz and modulation for huge tones and unique effects.
Features We Love:
Going Down
The pair of Sub controls allow you to blend in a mix of your signal one octave and two octaves down. It's that rich bassy octaver sound we all love and can even be played polyphonically for fat chord tones.
Going Up
The pair of Oct controls let you blend in your signal one and two octaves up. When used with the Sub mixed in it creates a wide sound or used on its own or with the dry signal gives a beautiful chiming sound that can also be used polyphonically.
Fuzz
Activating the fuzz switch brings the pedal into Blue Box territory, tapping you into that classic octave fuzz sound.
Mod
The Poly Blue Octave can also be used for a stunning modulation effect that can create a sense of motion. Dialling in the Mod control takes you from a swooping Phase 90 like tone up to a whirring rotary speaker sound.
Expression
Connecting a footswitch to the Expression input brings additional possibilities to the Poly Blue Octave and lets you scroll through and toggle parameters on and off.
Highlights:
- Advanced polyphonic octave shifting
- Awesome fuzz tones
- Unique modulation effects
