The Martin 00028E Modern Deluxe takes everything Martin knows to create a truly exceptional experience. With years and years of building knowledge behind them Martin set out to recreate a vintage guitar, with modern features and build techniques that still represented the best of vintage guitars. On the surface this guitar is an exceptional recreation of an older Martin guitar, from the classic tone woods to the vintage deluxe carve neck, this guitar feels like a guitar that was built a century ago. Even the neck was specifically designed with a period correct thickness fingerboard to take you back in time as you play.

Make no mistake though, this guitar has been crafted with the best modern techniques utilising all of the knowledge the Martin brand has amassed over the years. The neck features a titanium alloy truss rod, keeping it extremely stable and maintaining the weight of a pre-war neck. The bridge also features modern technology, with a Carbon Fiber/Spruce baseplate, and LiquidMetal bridge pins that help to add volume to the guitar. Martin haven't gone overboard with modern features, this is a vintage style guitar, enhanced with modern build techniques.

Features We Love:

Torrified Spruce top

Listed as VTS (Vintage Tone System) by Martin, a torrified top does a lot for the tone of a guitar. By drying and heating the wood prior to the build, the wood is changed at the molecular level and the aging process is accelerated. All this is to say the top on this guitar, is both incredibly resonant and aged to the point it already sounds broken in. When you pick this guitar up it will sound like a guitar you've played your whole life.

LiquidMetal Bridge Pins

A unique feature, Martin guitars worked with a company called LiquidMetal to create new bridge pins for the custom shop and the result has been outstanding. Installed on a guitar the volume is increased by roughly 3dB! A welcome modern upgrade as well all want a little more volume.

Gold Frets

While the Gold frets work extremely well in complementing the gold hardware, it's not just for show. These Evo Gold frets, are harder than nickel frets so they have a longer lifespan. In addition to this, they're nickel free and so considered hypoallergenic, if you had a problem playing nickel frets, these are for you.
