What we say:

At A Glance

The Universal Audio Astra Modulation Machine pedal puts a complete modulation station right at your feet. From luscious tube-tremolos, to gritty old-school bucket-brigade chorus circuits, to full on spacey 70's studio flangers, the Astra delivers a host of powerful, studio quality modulation sounds to choose from.

Features We Love:

Excellent Tone for Every Scenario

If you're looking for those iconic modulation sounds, packing in lush chorus and warbly tremolo goodness among others, without the staggering vintage gear price tags and studio real estate to go with them, look no further. The Astra Modulation Machine squeezes stunning recreations of these effects into a single moderately sized pedal unit.

Breath-taking Effects

The Astra Modulation Machine sinks you deep down the rabbit hole of classic, old school, analog modulation effects with its trio of powerful effects modes.

Chorus Brigade delivers the most complete circuit recreation of this unmistakable Japanese made bucket-brigade effect, including the preamp section for thick, saturated tones delivering everything from gentle vibrato to luxurious, warbly chorus.

Flanger/Doubler mode is a stunning recreation of the classic rackmount studio Flanger/doubler, bringing you huge whoosh effects, organic thickening effects and a host of tones in between.

Trem 65 brings you an outstanding recreation of truly joyous optical tube-driven tremolos of '60s American amplifiers, bringing you shimmering ripples, and choppy rhythmic madness.

Dual Stereo Modulation Engines

The Astra Modulation Machine runs separate stereo instances for each modulation effect thanks to Universal Audio's unique dual-engine processing circuits, letting you run your pedal like a pair of bucket-brigade units back-to-back, or a pair of tremolo circuits, whatever you can think of! All output in breath-taking full stereo spread.

Overall Rating 4.7/5 (3 reviews)

These UAFX pedals have amazing sounds and nice organic controls. Getting 5 modulation modules in one pedal is amazing. Shame UA don’t share the knob setting for their preset voices Also only having one preset voice is a real limitation to thus pedal in live use.

UI is a little quirky, initially difficult to link to my phone but the sound quality is amazing, worth it for just sheer sound
