The Collings CJ-45 Traditional Sitka Spruce is a great homage to Wartime era sloped-shoulder guitars. Bracing

Often overlooked due to the fact that it is not very visible, bracing is a key element of an acoustic guitar. Not only does it provide structural support but it shapes how a guitar sounds. The Wartime X-bracing on this model has a different layout and carve to the other CJ models. This leads to a more focused sound with a quicker decay; excellent for both strumming and picking.

CJ-45 Neck Profile

This new profile consists of a full feeling C shape that sits very comfortably in your hand. It is a reassuring size that offers hours of fatigue free playing plus has tonal benefits too. The width and depth both get slightly larger as you travel to the upper frets, providing a smooth feel that works well with all styles of playing.

Nitrocellulose Finish

This high gloss on the body and neck shines beautifully under the light but don't let it fool you - this is actually an ultra-thin finish. This has a hugely positive impact on the tone, allowing for greater response and increased resonance.
