What we say:
At A Glance:
The ARP 2600 is a legendary synthesizer which can be heard on countless albums from the 70s to the present day. The ARP 2600 M is a detailed remake that features that classic sound along with updated features and a smaller footprint. This makes it a more ideal addition to the modern studio, thanks to the inclusion of USB MIDI and smoother controls!
Features We Love:
Arp 2600 Circuitry
The ARP 2600 M features much of the same circuitry as the original unit, while upgrading the resolution of the envelope, and including two filters as opposed to one. This results in the same classic sound with more room to tailor the sounds to your needs.
MIDI
One of the great new features on the ARP 2600 M is MIDI over USB. You can either connect it to a DAW and send MIDI from there, or connect a class-compliant USB MIDI keyboard directly to the module itself. No more messing around with separate power supplies and DIN cables for controllers, just connect over a single USB cable!
New Compact Design
TThe ARP 2600 M is around 60% of the size of the original unit, making it much more compact for stage or studio rigs where space is tight. It also weighs just 5.9kg, which is significantly lighter, making it much easier to carry.
Highlights:
- Detailed recreation of the classic ARP 2600
- Fantastic sounding analogue circuitry
- Modern features like USB MIDI
- Compact and portable
- Upgraded envelopes and two filters
- Robust build quality
