What we say:
At A Glance:
The Gibson G-Writer EC Natural ticks all the boxes for a flawless live performance. Part of the Gibson Generation Collection, these guitars are made in the USA at Gibson's facility in Bozeman, Montana by skilled luthiers. That high-quality you'd expect to find on their higher-end acoustics is present here too.
Extremely comfortable to play thanks to the Advanced Response neck profile, slightly slimmer body size and a cutaway for easy upper fret access, you'll find yourself playing for much longer! The Player Port, originally designed during Gibson's golden era in the 60s then refined to perfection by Gibson's luthier team, sets this apart from any other model and is a huge benefit to those seeking a more detailed sound.
Features We Love:
Gibson Player Port
It's unbelievable how much sense this design makes. The typical soundhole on a guitar projects the sound outwards; great for the audience but not so good for the player! The Player Port allows you to hear the guitar like your audience does, giving a more enjoyable playing experience and better clarity.
Stika Spruce/Walnut Solid Woods
The tonal character of an acoustic guitar is largely defined by the woods it is made from. Sitka spruce is a classic choice due to its bright and clear sound qualities. Paired with walnut back and sides, the results are a well-balanced sound that is a joy to hear. It doesn't hurt that it also makes for a classy look too!
Striped Ebony Fingerboard
Usually found on high-end luxury instruments, the striped ebony adds to the striking look of this guitar. It also offers a lovely visual contrast to the Sitka spruce top!
LR Baggs Element Bronze
Let's not forget about this excellent pickup system. The Element Bronze was designed specifically for Gibson, making sure that this guitar sounds just as good amplified as it does acoustically.
Highlights:
- Features the Player Port for a larger sound dimension
- Excellent wood choice throughout
- Gibson's made in Bozeman quality can be seen in abundance
- LR Baggs Element Bronze electronics
