The ESP LTD JM-II Josh Middleton Signature Black Shadow Burst designed to handle everything Sylosis and Architects guitarist Josh Middleton can throw at it . The first thing that grabs your attention is the quilted maple top featured on this guitar finished in a Black Shadow Burst. Embedded into the stunning top is a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers. Fishman has been paving the way in modern guitar pickup design, and the Fluence series brings some of there latest innovations to life. Bolted onto the Alder body is a three-piece roasted maple neck. The neck has been carved into an extra-thin U profile for the fastest playing neck available on LTD guitars. Other appointments include a recessed Gotoh Tune-O-Matic bridge, locking tuners, and stainless steel frets.

Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers
The Fishman Fluence modern pickups utilise new technology to give you a vast array of sonic opportunities. Push/pull switches in the tone knobs let you tap into a second voicing for each pickup. In position one, the bridge pickup has an aggressively active sound with a hot output. Position two enters the realms of passive pickup tones. The neck position is loaded with Alnico magnets and offer a similar difference in the two voicings available.
Stainless Steel Frets
Twenty-four extra-jumbo Stainless Steel frets have been worked into the Macassar Ebony fingerboard. Stainless Steel will outlast traditional fret material, meaning you have one of the most durable frets currently available. Their increased size makes it easier to fret a note resulting in a faster-playing neck.
Roasted maple neck
Roasted maple is created by heating the wood and holding it at a specific temperature for a set time. The aim is to reduce moisture and change the chemical makeup of the neck. A roasted maple neck is less susceptible to humidity changes and will require fewer adjustments than a traditional maple neck. Another advantage is a smoother finish which is preferred by a lot of players.
