The Contemporary Series features many premium appointments for the modern player such as a roasted maple neck and sculpted heel. What sets this model apart is the special pickup configuration which gives way to a whole host of possibilities. Roasted Maple Neck

Rarely found at this price point, the roasted maple neck is certainly a special feature. The roasting process of the wood increases stability and makes for a very reliable and tonally rich neck. It also looks pretty amazing too! We are thoroughly impressed.

Special Pickup Configuration

This trio of Squier SQR alnico single-coil pickups are laid out in a way that creates some mesmerising tones. The middle pickup is closer to the bridge and allows for a unique variation of sounds which can be selected via the 5-way selector. Position 1 for example uses the bridge and middle in series with hum-cancelling.

Sculpted Heel

Another asset usually only found on high-end guitars, the sculpted heel provides easy access to the upper frets. The smooth carve is incredibly comfortable and also adds to the overall classy look of the instrument.
