The TR-06 Drumatix from Roland is a faithful sounding recreation of the legendary TR-606 drum machine. While recreating the sound of the TR-606 with Roland’s Analog Circuit Behaviour modelling technology, the TR-06 offers new features like Audio and MIDI over USB and trigger in/outs for use with modular gear. All in all, the TR-06 brings the sound and behaviour of the original machine into the present day, and integrates well with modern setups.

Iconic TR-606 Sounds

The TR-606 is a legendary piece of kit from the early 80s, and can be heard on many records from that whole decade and beyond. It played a huge part in shaping the sound of New Wave particularly, but can be heard in tons of different genres. The TR-06 uses Roland’s patented Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB) modelling technology to replicate the circuitry and sound of the original TR-606 unit, and bring it into the modern age. This is much better than any sample pack can offer.

Ultra-Compact and Portable

The TR-06 is extremely compact and portable, weighing only 1.2kg and small enough to fit in any backpack. It can be powered by either AA batteries or USB bus power, which means you can take those sounds anywhere you like.

Advanced Sequencer

The sequencer on the TR-06 is easy to use, but has some neat features like step-looping for on the fly slicing. The sequencer also integrates well with modular via the five trigger outputs and single trigger input. This allows you to get really creative with your sounds and sequences.
