What we say:

At A Glance:

First released to the world in 1960, the Hummingbird was Gibson's first square-shouldered guitar. Having arrived at the dawn of a new era in music, the Hummingbird was quickly adopted by trend setters and prime movers on the scene.

Built with Thermally Aged sitka spruce, the 1960 Hummingbird is a clear reflection of the appearance and performance of the early icons.

Features We Love:

Quality Tonewoods

Having been built with a Thermally Aged sitka spruce top, this guitar is set to sing! The use of great woods creates a fantastic soundboard off of which the sound is able to resonate from the guitar projecting it's voice loud and clear when played.

Original Hummingbird

Released in 1960 with this specific model, the Hummingbird body shape was introduced to the world and quickly became the go to Gibson acoustic for many. To this day Gibson are still producing guitars with this body, a testimony to the longevity of this shape as a firm favourite within the guitar community.

Highlights:

  • Quality materials and construction ensure great sound and feel
  • The original Hummingbird, a firm favourite to this day
