What we say:

At A Glance

Coming from the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Les Paul Standard 50s brings to life all of the historic vibes from what was a special time for music. The 59 Rounded neck profile gives a reassuring feel under hand. The ProBucker pickups easily reproduce all of the classic tones but also provide enough output and versatility for more modern sounds. The cream binding frames the body beautifully and adds to those vintage vibes. A Graph Tech nut is a welcomed modern appointment due to its increased reliability. This is a great option for those wanting vintage Les Paul style at a modest price.

Features We Love:

ProBucker Pickups

With a ProBucker 2 in the bridge and a ProBucker 1 in the neck, the big humbucker tones are full and rich sounding. Huge chords and blistering solos all cut through with ease making it perfect for rock. That being said, they can produce smooth and luxurious tones suitable for blues, jazz and even pop.

'59 Rounded Medium C Profile

Staying true to the 50s vibe, this '59 Rounded Medium C neck has a great playing profile. It is comfortable and feels reassuringly well constructed. A great opportunity to have this feature without the vintage price tag!

Vintage Deluxe Tuners

Keeping with the style of the time period, the Vintage Deluxe tuners certainly look the part. With an 18:1 ratio, these tuners are reliable and will do a great job and getting you in tune and keeping you in tune.

Highlights:

  • Vintage vibes with modern playability
  • A classic timeless design
  • Epiphone level of quality

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.9/5 (14 reviews)

A superb guitar for the money. The fat tone matches the fat neck with some excellent sustain. Really happy with the build quality. The team at the Glasgow store could not have been nicer either.

Great guitar and great service.

Julian H. - 20/2/2024

This guitar is awesome but all of the reviews have already told you this. It is not too heavy and well balanced and finished beautifully. The quality is as good as people say.

Brian O. - 13/2/2024

Well put together and solid. Neck nice and smooth with no sharp frets or buzzing. The pick-ups are nice and as powerful as I need, with some clean deep tones. I normally play a AVRI Telecaster and a SRV Sig Strat. The Epiphone plays as well as the high end Fenders. The only downside is compared to the Fenders, the Epiphone weighs as much as a small planet. Shut your eyes and you could be Joe Walsh

Lee e. - 26/1/2024

Fantastic guitar suited my needs perfectly

Scott H. - 17/1/2024

Wanted this guitar for a very long time, tested this and the Epiphone SG, and this one won. The tone of the guitar sounds beautiful and feels just like a Gibson but £2000 cheaper. Plus, the colour is just perfect!

Andy B. - 28/11/2023

It’s very well made and finished - at least as good as a Gibson in my opinion and I have played a few and still own a couple - a very good buy

David F. - 28/6/2023

Andrew H. - 18/6/2023

It was a difficult choice as the SG was a cl9se runner. Maybe next time.

Leslie L. - 6/4/2023

Great guitar! Obviously would love the Gibson equivalent but cannot afford £2K+. The Epiphone goes a long way to getting you towards the real thing.
