This dark and slick-looking electric guitar from Schecter has some cutting edge features for those more adventurous guitarists out there!

From its thick cream binding (on the headstock, fingerboard and body) to its roman numeral fingerboard inlays, this guitar is classy and quietly ornate. As with most Schecter guitars, this has been designed with heavy rockers in mind: 24 frets, a locking whammy bar and plenty of black attests to that! But there is quite a lot more to it than that…

Before we get to the electronics, we should take a second to inspect the construction. This South Korean-made instrument uses neck-through construction for one thing, bringing together slices of Maple, Walnut and Padauk to form a strong and reliable neck that travels through the entire length of the instrument. Carbon Fibre rods are used for extra reinforcement.

The rest of the body is made from Swamp Ash, whilst the body shape itself is a somewhat luxurious carved top double cutaway style. It’s Schecter through-and-through, with an appealingly slim body that feels appropriately modern.

The neck has an Ultra Thin ‘C’ profile and an Ebony fingerboard with 24 Extra Jumbo frets made of Stainless Steel. A compound radius of 12”-16” means the fingerboard has an instantly comfortable, contemporary feel that will be perfect for all ‘technique’ based players.

The Schecter C-1 FR SLS Evil Twin has a fantastic Sustainiac system for employing infinite feedback whenever you fancy it, in a controllable and predictable way. It’s an amazing thing to behold, and well worth your investigation!

The other pickup is an equally innovative Fishman Fluence Modern humbucker. This ceramic unit uses a push/pull volume pot to offer two completely different pickup sounds. It’s an excellent and versatile invention, and it fits in well here!

Other top notch hardware includes a Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo (not a licensed model, the real deal!) and Grover tuners. The quality on display here is pretty unbelievable!
