Tremolo

This American Performer Jazzmaster has a Strat-style vintage tremolo. Regular Jazzmasters have a uniquely designed tremolo system with a long arm and large metal body plate. Yes, they definitely look cool but in practical terms they can prove to be difficult. This is a great solution and keeps things easy and functional.

Bridge

In terms of design, application and practicality, this type of bridge is miles ahead: you can get loads of expression from this! The bridge is easier to intonate too, so tuning and other factors are improved immediately. This was a bold move by Fender and we wholeheartedly applaud it.

Pickups

The pickups are new Yosemite models - hand wound and voiced especially for this guitar. They are still true single coils and are housed in the larger surrounds to bring out those slightly warmer Jazzmaster tones. There is enough jangle for the Indie guys and enough raunch for Blues and Grunge players.
