What we say:

At A Glance:

This Atkin The Essential D is a stunning vintage style guitar with modern quality. Atkin's Essential range are no-nonsense, no-frills acoustic guitars made to the same exceptional quality levels as every other Akin guitar! The Dreadnought model here is a particularly tasty guitar, with a classic shape that produces a fantastic sound that fills the room.

Features We Love:

Excellent wood

Baked Sitka Spruce is about as good a top wood as you could hope for. Heated to remove moisture, this top resonates amazingly. A Mahogany body adds depth to the tone.

Pre-War detailing

Thinner body scalloping is made to Pre-War specs, ensuring that the tone is as authentic as possible. Loud, strident notes are the game here, with plenty of lively character. Otherwise, an Ebony fingerboard, grained Ivoroid binding and Aged toned Nitrocellulose lacquer increase the 'legacy' vibe.

Who Is It For?

This Atkin Dreadnought model is for the player looking for pure vintage tone and feel with modern quality.

Highlights:

  • Timeless design
  • Understated elegance
  • Exceptional build quality
  • World-class sound
