What we say:

At A Glance:

The Taylor 814ce-DLX is a luxury Grand Auditorium acoustic. It features high quality materials, a great pickup system and V-class bracing. It is versatile and easy to play, and will suit almost any player perfectly.

Features We Love:

Beautiful, Quality Materials

The 814ce-DLX features Taylor’s Element fretboard inlays. These made from mother-of-pearl and inlaid on a striking marbled Indian Ebony fretboard. The guitar also boasts maple and rosewood multiple ply building on the body and maple binding along the neck. The tropical mahogany neck has an ebony face on the headstock.

Grand Auditorium Body Shape

The Grand Auditorium shape is well-known as the most versatile of Taylor’s bodies. It is suited to a wide variety of genres and playing styles.

Expression System 2

This is widely known as one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available. It translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood. This gives the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.

V-Class Bracing

Developed by Taylor’s Master Builder Andy Powers, this is an innovative new style of bracing. It tackles the issue of achieving sustain and tone without sacrificing volume. V-Class bracing allows the guitar’s top to move and vibrate in a more stable manner, resulting in more focus and response from the wood. This control means more volume and projection. The ‘V’ of the bracing travels the middle of the guitar, maintaining rigidity and lending sustain and resonance to your notes. V-Class bracing means a louder, richer sound with better intonation and response.

Highlights:

  • Great electronics
  • Comfortable and easy to play, with a Venetian cutaway providing easy access to the upper frets
  • Suitable for all players
  • Luxurious woods

Delighted with this fantastic guitar. Sounds and plays just as I'd hoped and lives up to all of Taylor's claims.

As a collector of Taylor guitars I was a bit sceptical of the hype around the new V bracing especially with all the ?flowery? language coming out of their magazine. But now I?m so pleased I jumped in and bought one . It?s incredible, the tone, sustain and sheer playability. I love all my Taylor?s but love this one that bit better
