Digital guitar rigs allow players to have access to an astounding array of truly amazing sounding amplifiers, cabinets and effects. The Laney LFR cabinet is a full frequency, full range, powered cabinet, designed to deliver the varied tones of a digital guitar set up where it matters the most - to your audience. To make a digital guitar set up work live you need something which faithfully recreates your studio sound, live and loud without adding any additional unwanted tonal content - step forward the Laney LFR-112.

Full Frequency Flat Response Digital guitar rigs offer the player an un-paralleled degree of choice when it comes to their rig set up. In a digital world, virtually anything is possible. To make a digital guitar set up work live you need a guitar cabinet and amplifier combination that faithfully recreates your studio sound, live and loud without adding any additional unwanted tonal content.

Switchable cabinet emulation allows you to add the frequency characteristics of a cabinet of your choice to your DI-Signal without the need for micing a cabinet.

The Tilt Mechanism is an extremely useful folding tilt back mechanism, designed to give you the optimum on stage sound. Most amplifiers throw sound past the players legs but with a Tilt Mechanism you can choose to have the amp throw the sound up towards your ears allowing you to hear yourself more easily when playing.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.8/5 (6 reviews)

Good price and quick delivery from GuitarGuitar. The cab is used as a power FRFR cab with a feed from a CaptorX and Plexi 18/20 valve amp. Sound from the cab is great , no hiss or interference and up and running in a few minutes. Exactly what I was after - a transparent FRFR speaker to let me use my valve amp/captorX and simulated virtual cabs. Controls on the back are easy to use and useful to control the overall volume and a HF trim. Light on the front initially seems tacky but actually proves really useful lighting up my pedal board! Very happy with the cab and service from GuitarGuitaer

As loud as you’d expect and nicely balanced sound (in free mode). Bigger (in depth) than std amp/combo though. Only slight niggle is that the volume knob is on the rear and small so not easy to get to ‘on the fly’. Also the vol and trim pots feel a bit ‘cheap’.

Great sounding cab, good having the lights & additional tone adjuster on the back!

The Laney active cab performs exactly as it was advertised. It isn't too heavy to lift and not too large to be so intrusive in my house. I have used it live now and it works perfectly. Again doesn't take up any space on stage, is loud enough hear behind me and the feed to the desk was easy to send to the engineer.

Early days but such a difference to have a big cab on the Helix
