What we say:

At A Glance:

The sound the launched rock, country, bluegrass, and folk, the HD-28 is a classic. This timeless machine will be there for you every time with its strong bottom end, rich tone, and fantastic projection to fill any room.

Features We Love:

D-14 Dreadnought Body

Martin's D-14 Dreadnought body creates a rich tone with plenty of depth, clarity and character. The larger body also makes it great for strumming, giving a consistent volume and even tone without impacting your dynamic range.

Martin Forward Shifted X-Brace System

Martin's X-Brace system dates back almost 200 years, designed to present the perfect balance between reliability and optimised tonal quality, in a guitar that will last a lifetime. This "forward-shifted" design moves the X towards the neck, retaining support and rigidity whilst allowing the section behind the bridge to resonate. The result is a reliable guitar that is loud and offers a spectacular bass response, pronounced tone and singing resonance.

Modified Low Oval Neck Shape

This neck shape is suited to those with smaller hands or who prefer a slimmer neck. With this model, you'll be able to play for hours on end without hand pain getting in your way.

Highlights:

  • Dreadnought body shape gives rich tone with great projection
  • Martin forward shifted X-brace optimises tone
  • Modified Low Oval neck

A top guitar and top customer service from Paul at Guitarguitar. Big thumbs up!

Robert G. - 29/4/2024

It was extremely valuable to be able to compare all the models of the whole range in shop. Got a great one.

The playability of the 're-imagined' Martin guitars is amazing and what sold the guitar to me. The sound is exactly as I expected of this model and I look forward to getting many years of enjoyment playing it.

BRUCE D. - 26/1/2023

Amazing guitar, as you would expect from a Martin at this price point. Finish and setup was flawless and it played like a dream. Ultimately I ended up returning the guitar as I wasn’t sure it fully suited my playing style and needs and I was worried every time I took it out of its case that I would fame it. I’ve tried multiple other guitars across a range of price points and this is the guitar I keep comparing them to.

James B. - 28/5/2022

Superb instrument, beautifully made. No defects on it at all. This is a guitar worth paying the asking price for. I?m very happy with it.

Bruce D. - 31/7/2021

My husband just loves it. A quality instrument - though not cheap!

Pauline S. - 20/5/2021

A lovely guitar - not cheap, but worth the money.

BECAUSE IT IS A MARTIN HD 28, WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO OWN ONE AND NOW I DO.

JOHN B. - 6/10/2020

It's a Martin, and it's a cannon!! I tried few different models of D28 and D35 but this HD28 re-imagined in my opinion has something extra!!
