What we say:
For over 15 years now, Faith guitars have been delivering top class acoustic guitars designed by noted UK luthier Patrick James Eggle. With a good mixture of traditional and original designs, Faith guitars offer, in Eggle’s own words: “an instrument that is both highly desirable and highly functional. A piece that would be as visually effective when silent as it would be sonically when in the hands of a skilled musician." There are a number of ranges, each with their own features and finishing techniques, that will appeal to a wide range of players looking for a quality instrument from a contemporary maker.
The ‘Naked’ series is a range of satin-finished guitars with very little in the way of decoration: it is pure tonewood and design, unencumbered with unnecessary extravagance and correspondingly more affordable as a result. These Naked guitars use solid timbers for the best possible sound and have no binding or layers of spray paint to interfere with the utilitarian concept (this has a thin coat of semi-translucent satin black). A small Mother of Pearl ‘F’ inlay at the 12th fret is this guitar’s only concession to extravagance.
The Venus is an original body design and perhaps the most recognisable shape in Faith’s catalogue. It’s relatively similar to an Orchestral sized guitar and offers a similar combination of sound, projection and percussion, making this a great all-rounder. With a solid Spruce top and solid Mahogany for the back & sides, this cutaway electro Venus has brightness and warm in equal measure. A Shadow pickup system allows you to take this straight onto your local stage when it’s time to get gigging!
This guitar is perfect for the gigging player who both strums and fingerpicks, who wants a solid-timbered guitar and relished the notion of having it pick up a few scars along the way to give the guitar even more character.
