The F7 Paco offers a unique departure from traditional flamenco guitar tonewoods. In honor of Paco De Lucia’s untimely passing in 2014, the F7 Paco's design was inspired by several well-known instruments that were mainstays in the legendary guitarist’s collection. With its solid Canadian cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides, the F7 Paco has a fuller, darker, less biting tone than the standard F7. Built in the Spanish tradition, it is incredibly lightweight, with a slightly thinner body depth than a classical guitar. A high gloss finish, maple binding, and a clear flamenco-style tap plate complete this homage to a flamenco great.

I bought this guitar the same time as I bought the Yamaha 182sf flamenco guitar, knowing that it would sound different. And it does. The Cedar top and rosewood sides and back give this guitar a lovely warm sound. Even if you don't play flamenco, it's a lovely guitar. I wanted a second flamenco style guitar to add to my collection and this guitar doesn't disappoint. Again the action is lower than a normal classical with a slightly thinner body. The fit and finish is superb. It's very striking looking instrument. I think it comes with Savarez 500 hard tension strings which right for the guitar. It fitted with a two way adjustable Truss rod, which is reassuring to know. No neck adjustment needed so far. Unusual for a flamenco guitar to be made from cedar and rosewood (dark tone woods) rather than the usual spruce and maple or cypress. I think this was based on a Paco de Lucia guitar he favoured, hence the 'Paco' name tag. This is my first Cordoba guitar and I'm very impressed with it. Actually, there's nothing I don't like about this guitar, very happy all round. There's a similar style classical guitar, the Cordoba c7 cedar which I've played in the shop and it's very good too.
