This Pro series Yamaha BBP34 Bass finished in Midnight Blue represents the pinacle of Yamaha's iconic BB line. The BB bass was first unveiled as an affordable alternative to American made guitars, without any signs of compromise to tone or quality. This no-nonsense approach saw Billy Sheehan and Peter Hook as early adopters of the BB, both legendary bass players with contrasting styles, which is a testament to the BB's versatility.

This new BB features a tasteful retro aesthetic finished with Yamaha's Initial Response Acceleration technology and combines an alder/maple/alder body, five-piece maple and mahogany neck and YGD Custom V7 pickups to offer a versatile selection of usable tones, making it a great choice for everything from Jazz to Metal.

Body and I.R.A Technology

The guitar's body is made from a combination of maple and alder, with the maple sandwiched in the middle to create a rich resonant tone with a tight low end and detailed mids and highs. The bass also utilises Yamaha's Initial Response Acceleration technology. Reserved for their premium guitars, I.R.A artificially ages the guitar using vibrations to mature the wood, finish and hardware. The result is a "played in" feeling guitar without any wear.

YGD Custom V7 Pickups

The Custom V7 pickups have been tailored to fit perfectly with the Alder/Maple/Alder body to give the guitar an organic tone that sounds huge yet refined.

Six-Bolt Miter Neck Joint

Yamaha's six-bolt miter joint gives the neck the strongest possible connection to the body of the guitar. With 4 standard screws to join the neck to the body and 2 additional screws set at an angle to anchor the neck in, the joint is not only incredibly secure, but it also drives the vibrations from the neck to the body and vice versa to create incredible tone and sustain.
