The Stereo Videomic Pro-R features a pair of high sensitivity capsules set in a tried and tested XY configuration. XY is a commonly used mic configuration that's practised in recording studios to capture stereo recordings, where two microphones are set at a 90° angle, pointing towards a source. The result captures an authentic stereo image that works in a very similar way to your own ears.

Rycote® Lyre® Shock Mount

With any sensitive microphone, it's easy to pick up rumbling as you move your camera. To minimise this, the Stereo Videomic Pro is built into a Rycote® Lyre® shock mount, which absorbs any vibrations before they can be picked up by the mic.
