Unquestionable one of the most famous and classic amp brands in existence, Vox has a sound that bands and artists go to decade after decade. Whether you know Vox from the Beatles famously using them or other bands like R.E.M., U2, Radiohead and Rory Gallagher, there are few sounds as iconic.

This smaller combo is a response to AC30 fans who wanted a similar sound but in a package that’s not only easier to carry around but also easier to overdrive. This 10 watt combo is based on the AC30’s Top Boost channel, this all-valve combo has gain and master volume controls to allow you to dictate how much overdrive you use. An excellent and relatively subtle reverb is available too, all going through a single 10 inch VX10 speaker.

Perfect for jamming and recording, there is also an External Speaker jack for connecting to a cab for a bigger sound.

I was looking for a smaller, quieter amp to practice in the house with - in many respects this amp failed. I got a more transportable beast with an unbelievable tone, capable of being deafeningly loud. Luckily it also sings beautifully at a quieter volume. You could definitely gig with this as well as having some sweet tones in your house.
