What we say:
At A Glance
The Dobro Hound Dog is Epiphone's faithful offering to the world of resonator guitars. There are two main factors that usually attract someone to a resonator - looks and sound. Thankfully, this guitar delivers on both accounts. The bell brass body produces a range of warm and big tones, perfect for a number for applications. Whether you plan on playing slide, finger picking or strumming some big chords, all will be articulated clearly on this model. Featuring an easy to play round SlimTaper neck, it has never been more comfortable to play a guitar like this. Get all of your vintage needs satisfied here with a sound that has been influencing musicians since the the late 1920s.
Features We Love:
Bell Brass Body
A resonator has a very distinctive sound, owed largely to the metal body. The bell brass produces a large and articulated sound that rings well regardless of what you are you playing. The smooth decay adds to the overall well rounded tone which is a pleasure to both play and listen to.
Dual Action Truss Rod
Vintage guitars may be on the wish list for many but unfortunately a lot of those historic instruments can be a loaded with issues. Unplayable warped necks or poor intonation are two examples of what can make a guitar unplayable and be costly to fix. Thankfully this model features a dual action truss rod so any adjustments required can be made easily.
Grover Mini-Rotomatic Tuners
Featuring an 18:1 ratio, these Grovers are a great addition. They provide excellent tuning stability and make string changes quick and easy. No matter how hard you are strumming at least you know that these will be holding your strings firmly and reliably.
Highlights:
- A Dobro for a very reasonable price
- Unique looks and tones
- Vintage characteristics with added modern benefits
