What we say:

Iron Maiden's longest serving axeman has rather a tasteful and sensible signature instrument compared to what you may have expected! No lurid graphics, no pointy angles...it's a...sunburst Strat?

Indeed it is but there's quite a lot more to it, as even a cursory glance will reveal. In place of the standard Fender vibrato, we have a proper, heavey duty Floyd Rose locking tremolo, perfect for all of those screeching air raid sirens leads from the Maiden's illustrious back catalogue.

In place of the customary single coils, we get a trio of USA made Seymour Duncan single coil-sized humbuckers: a Hot Rails at the bridge and neck with a Mini JB in the Middle position: in other words, total high gain rock!

The neck is a fairly normal C shape but the fretboard is a progressive compound radius: from a regular 9.5" at the nut end to an ultra flat 14" up at the nosebleed area for effortless shredding.

This guitar is most definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing: once you plug it in, hang on for dear life because it takes no prisoners! In fact, you may find yourself Running to the Hills!

This has took over as my favourite guitar.it’s so comfortable to play.pick ups sound great.it’s heavy though.if you’re after a strat this is the boyo.????

This guitar is well playable. More versatile than a standard strat in my opinion and a gorgeous neck. I have a BOSS katana amp which gives me all the rock sounds and more that I could ever want. This is a Mex Fender and though I've never played a USA version, I can't fault the quality of this one and can't see how a USA could be any better for the price. I still haven't made it go out of tune yet!
