Adam Clayton is perhaps an underrated musician. In the band he plays in, the singer grabs all of the headlines and it's their guitarist who gets all the reverence from musical circles. Whilst this is all certainly warranted, Clayton's unfussy but inventive basslines have always been clever and surprisingly free of cliche. He's no Jaco Pistorius but within the music of U2, his dubby sensibilities and personality come through in his contributions.

His Signature Jazz bass also reflects this easygoing, slightly flashy vibe. You get some great custom shop pickups and a custom neck shape that Adam prefers but otherwise it's pretty much a great looking sparkly Sherwood Green Jazz bass with a matching headstock and excellent block inlays. If you look closely you'll see some slightly unusual tuning pegs: again, it's the small subtleties that make the man and his bass.
