What we say:

At A Glance:

The Martin 000-15SM delivers a sweet warm tone thanks to it's mahogany body. The depression-era martin 000-15 has long been a favourite for players seeking an authentic Martin feel and tone, but with a slight twist on the usual spruce and rosewood combination.

The solid mahogany top, back, and sides, give this model a slightly darker, and smoother tone while still being lively and expressive.

The 15 range is stripped back for simplicity with a satin finish and no binding, otherwise this model is Martin through and through!

Features We Love:

All Mahogany Body

A result of the depression-era in America, this model's all mahogany body sounds great! Ever since it's first introduction, this tonewood combination has been a stable feature in Martin's range. The mahogany body produces a great sounding warm and full tone and has been praised for it's recording ability due to the wealth of midrange tones.

000 Body size

The 000 body size lies comfortably between a parlour and a dreadnought. This makes it comfortable in your lap, but still boasts plenty of volume and projection. This particular model has the body and neck joined at the 12th fret giving the body more of a parlour look.

Highlights:

  • All mahogany construction produces a brilliant tone that has been favoured by many since it's release
  • 000 body shape sits nicely and gives great tone and projection

I?m not a guitar player but my husband absolutely rates this guitar and he has done his research. He says this model has surpassed his expectations.

Alexandra M. - 15/11/2020

This all Mahogany Guitar sounds and plays as well as I had hoped. This is not my first Martin 000-15 but this one sounds and plays every bit as well as I had hoped.

Andy R. - 26/9/2020

Had researched the item extensively and was not disappointed in any way. I am an older player of moderate ability (at best!) but now also somewhat limited with rheumatic issues and wanted a smaller but nice quality instrument to try to carry on playing for the future. The Martin 000-15SM seems a perfect fit thus far!
