What we say:

At A Glance:

The Shure SM86 is a professional condenser vocal microphone that's suitable for a versatile range of singing styles. From soft angelic tones to aggressive death metal screams, the SM86 delivers the best vocal tone in every situation.

Features We Love:

Tailored for Vocals

The SM86 has been crafted to offer a stunningly clear tone for vocals on stage and in the studio. Suitable for mic stand and handheld use, the SM86 features an extended high-frequency range that delivers a detailed and airy tone that cuts through a mix. Plus, its cardioid polar pattern means it will only pick up your voice and not the instruments around you. The SM86 is also capable of withstanding higher sound pressure levels, making it also suitable for edgier and aggressive vocal styles.

Consistent Sound

Inside the microphone is a three-point shock mount system that houses the capsule, ensuring any rumbling travelling through your mic stand or any handling noise is subdued before it reaches the capsule. Plus the two stage pop filter catches any rogue breaths or gusts of wind from reaching the capsule to provide a smooth and clear vocal tone, free from popping and rumbling.

Who Is It For?

Professional vocalists, recording studios, music venues and houses of worship.

Highlights:

  • Clear and professional vocal tone
  • Suitable for many different styles of singing
