What we say:
At A Glance:
The M1 Dynamic Live Mic is one of our most popular vocal microphones. With an accurate cardioid polar pattern and internal pop-filter, it's an excellent mic for singers, comperes and even for karaoke.
Features We Love:
Dynamic Cardioid
The backbone of on stage microphones has to be the dynamic cardioid. Used on everything from guitar cabs and snare drums, to of course, vocals. The dynamic format is more comfortable with high sound pressure levels compared to condenser microphones. This makes them ideal for capturing the power of a voice without distorting. In addition to this, the cardioid polar pattern focuses its capture directly in front of the capsule, this minimises spillage from other instruments and makes it less prone to feedback. Also unlike condenser microphones, it doesn't require phantom power.
Internal Pop Filter
Sensitive microphones can be prone to a popping sound caused by gusts of air from your mouth when you sing. The M1 features an internal pop filter to stop these "plosives" from passing through to the capsule and distorting your vocal.
Lifetime Warranty
Once registered via your Rode account, your microphone is covered by the Rode Lifetime extended warranty, giving you the peace of mind that your investment will be protected for many years to come.
Highlights:
- Versatile microphone that's great for vocals
