Manufacturer's ID: M3
What we say:
At A Glance:
The Rode M3 is an extremely versatile end address condenser microphone. Suitable for recording voice, instruments and even for use in sound design, the M3 offers a natural yet focussed capture of sound.
Features We Love:
Switch it Up
As condenser microphones are extremely sensitive, the M3 features a set of switches to extend its uses. This includes a pad switch, which slightly dampens its sensitivity for use on loud sources. This allows you to record drums or guitar amps without the mic distorting. The M3 also features a high pass filter switch, which cuts out frequencies below 80Hz and is ideal for preventing unwanted rumbling and hand noise.
Got the Power
Being a condenser, the M3 does require power, this can be supplied via phantom power from your desk or audio interface, or by using a 9v battery in the mic. This means that the mic is comfortable for use in the studio and outside.
10 Year Warranty
Once registered via your Rode account, your microphone is covered by the Rode 10 year extended warranty, giving you the peace of mind that your investment will be protected for many years to come.
