GG put these on the Martin D12E that I bought at the same time. The Guitar has solid wood back and sides (Sapele) and is great quality. Perhaps not as mellow as Rosewood but less expensive and suits me fine. I have used the D'Addarios before and am pleased with them. The guitar has all the sustain I need.
