Acoustic guitars can be tricky to record; do you mic them up? Or use their in-built pickup? Plug into an amp and mic the amp? So many ways, so many questions! Fret not, we’ve teamed up with Taylor artist Nate Notes who will host a special event on acoustic guitar production at guitarguitar Camden!
Meet Your Artist: Nate Notes
Nate Notes is a session guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and show programmer who has been working in the industry for over 10 years. He has just finished tracking acoustic guitars with Craig David but also has worked with artists such as: Raye, Alesha Dixon, Raleigh Richie, JLS, Leona Lewis to name a few.
What's This Event All About?
In this masterclass, Nate Notes will take the audience through his unique approach of creating acoustic versions of songs. Step by step, with live demonstrations of arrangements on some of the records he worked on, Nate will reveal how a professional session works.
Nate will use his recently tracked Craig David song to demonstrate how it came about.
Notes will share real-world lessons, advice and answer questions on breaking into the session musician industry and what it’s like to be an artist in the modern music scene.
