Did you see IDLES’ performance at Glastonbury this year? 

It has already gone down as one of the most memorable and downright iconic shows from that or any other Glasto in recent years. This is on top of a year that has seen the Bristol-based band release a new record and embark on a successful tour. It’s been a good year for them, sofar!

Never far from controversy, IDLES tell it how it is through their angry, defiant and passionate songs. Social issues are addressed, strong points of view given, and all of that is balanced by a strong vein of empathy and compassion.

In short, IDLES are one of the most significant bands in Britain right now.

We had to know more about these people: their process, their experience, and their mission. Guitarist Lee Keirnan kindly responded to our bat signal and agreed to join us for a Zoom call one afternoon recently.
