Then look no further! As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, we’ve teamed up with the wizards of Ibanez guitars to deliver a run of interactive acoustic showcase events with not one but two Ibanez artists: Chris Woods and Pete Kent, across 4 guitarguitar branches in the month of August: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Epsom and Birmingham.
What's This All About?
Our Ibanez Acoustic Showcase will be the place for anyone looking to expand their knowledge on acoustic skills. Run by two exceptional Ibanez artists, Pete Kent and Chris Woods, this event will be in the form of a drop-in throughout the store’s opening hours. Attendees will be able to chat to the artists, watch them demo acoustic techniques and try out an extended selection of Ibanez acoustic guitars.
Meet the Artists
Pete Kent is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist from Wolverhampton UK whose style of playing encompasses bass lines, chords, melody and percussion simultaneously.
Chris Woods has been described as a guitarist “changing the perceived boundaries of the acoustic guitar.” Chris is a specialist in percussive style, on which he wrote a comprehensive publication. Some of his compositions also found their way into the London College of Music grade books. Aside from his educational achievements, Chris performs under The Chris Woods Groove Orchestra touring frequently.
Both players are on the official Ibanez Artists roster and are tremendous performers, great clinicians and educators that will be truly inspiring for any aspiring guitarists!
The Details & How To Book
The Ibanez Acoustic Showcase will take place at four guitarguitar branches across the month of August during the stores’ opening hours: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm.
This event is free to attend and all you need to do is just pop into your nearest participating branch on the date of the event:
Glasgow 7th August
Edinburgh 8th August
Epsom 15th August
Birmingham 22nd August
