Can you believe we are over the halfway mark for 2024 already?

It's our 20th anniversary here at guitarguitar, and we’ve been dedicating each month to a different brand to help continue the celebrations and basically do some cool stuff! This month - July - is Martin month, and we’ve collaborated with the world-famous brand to bring you a bunch of very diverse and interesting FREE events over the course of the month.

Not only that, there’s a great competition happening right now that could win you a fantastic Martin D-15E acoustic guitar!

All the details are here, folks, so immediately stop whatever you’re doing and read this blog!

Martin Unleash the Artist Competition

First off, let’s check out this competition! This is for the performers out there, and the prize is pretty great. How does a Martin D-15E electro-acoustic guitar sound? A proper Martin, made with solid Mahogany and featuring a pickup, this guitar will be able to accompany you from the bedroom to the stage, which is a good thing since the prize is actually in two parts:

If you win you’ll also be HEADLINING a special open mic night in Glasgow at Maggie’s Rock n Rodeo, which is but a hop, skip and a jump from the glasgow guitarguitar store!

For all of the details, click through to our Martin Competition blog and good luck!

EPSOM - 23rd July MARTIN ARTIST HISTORY NIGHT

Join Martin expert Tommy McGinley and Martin artist Connor Thomas for a night of music and history. Tommy will spin tales of famous Martin artists and guitars, whilst Connor will treat the audience to renditions of famous Martin-fuelled songs.

This will be one of those ‘sit back and take it in’ events, and I know for a fact that Tommy loves taking questions about Martin history, so don’t be shy! (A little birdy also told me that there will be some Martin swag being given out on the night too…)

These two will be in our Epsom store on the evening of Tuesday 23rd July, so make a date in your diary and then click the button below for your FREE tickets!
