Published on 01 July 2024
The undisputed king of the acoustic world - Martin - has been the guitarists’ favourite ever since its early days. The list of famous and iconic artists who have played Martin guitars is as impressive as the history of the brand itself. As guitarguitar celebrates its 20th anniversary, we’re bringing our buddies from Martin for an exciting evening celebrating the very core of the brand: its artists!
Martin Guitars & Artists Overview
Founded in 1833 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, Martin guitars evolved in size, shape and quality and helped sculpt the musical landscape of the 20th & 21st Centuries. Famous for their introduction of dreadnought design, Martin was strummed by everyone from fine ladies at ballroom courts through Civil War soldiers around campfires to greatest rock ‘n’ roll stars on world’s biggest stages. The sound of Martin can be heard on iconic albums recorded by some of the most influential songwriters of all time: Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon and many, many more!
