Attention all singer-songwriters, buskers & guitar players!
Our 20th Anniversary celebrations continue on and we are thrilled to announce we’ve teamed up with our friends at Martin to prepare something very special just for you!
We want to celebrate YOUR incredible talent so we’ve decided to run a competition! Intrigued? Then read on…
Unleash The Artist
Strumming in your bedroom is where it all begins. Some of you may already be getting out there playing covers in local venues, dabbing in recording your own songs, posting your songs on social media to hundreds of followers or maybe even playing in front of larger audiences!
How would you fancy a brand new acoustic-electric Martin D-15E guitar? And how about playing to a large audience as a headliner during the “One Night In Tennessee” open mic in the heart of Glasgow city? This dream can be YOURS!
So, no matter what stage of your musical adventure you are, guitarguitar and Martin want to HEAR YOU.
The Details & How to Take Part
If you think you’ve got what it takes and are ready to take your career to the next level, then start right here, right now! Here’s what you need to do to qualify for an entry:

Post a video of yourself performing an original song playing acoustic guitar and singing.

Post your video onto one of the following three platforms: Instagram, Facebook or TikTok

Use #martinxguitarguitar20 hashtag so we can see your entry.

You can film it at home, or if you’d like, you are welcome to pop into your local guitarguitar and film it there
-
Only entries posted between the 1st July - 18th July will qualify

Entrants must be 18+
Competition Prize
The winner takes it all:
-
a brand new Martin D-15E acoustic-electric guitar
-
A headline spot at Maggie’ Rock’n’Rodeo “One Night In Tennessee” hosted by Old Bohemia in Glasgow city centre
-
Travel and accommodation to/from Glasgow on the night of the show (25th July 2024)
Terms & Conditions
In order to take part in this competition you must :
-
Be 18 years old or older
-
Be based in the UK
-
Post a video to either Facebook, Instagram or TikTok using #martinxguitarguitar20 hashtag (as described in the details)

Be able and willing to travel to Glasgow
-
Be ready to perform to high standard using the brand new Martin acoustic you’ve just won
-
Be ready to perform at least 2 songs live in front of an audience - one of which must be your submission piece

Be willing to perform on the night of 25th July 2024 (“One Night In Tennessee" starts at 7:00 pm, the headliner slot will be approximately at 10:30 pm)
Other Details
The competition will run between 01/07/24 - 18/07/24.
The winner will be selected by guitarguitar and Martin UK jury panel on 19/07/24.
