Founded by George Lowden in Northern Ireland, the brand’s history stretches back to the early 1970s. Tirelessly striving to perfection, Lowden pride themselves on using hand tools and traditional techniques to keep the quality of their instruments at the highest standard possible. Lowden acoustics are handcrafted with premium tonewoods, often exotic ones, too. Their designs have found their way onto the hearts of traditional musicians as well as the likes of Paul Brady, Richard Thompson, Eric Clapton and more recently, Ed Sheeran.

In our clinics and live stream, you can expect to hear about the incredible journey of Lowden Guitars: from a small town in County Down to the walls of world renowned music shops and hands of famous musicians. George will talk to us about what started it all, how the company grew over the years and his most prominent collaborations. He’ll cover the shapes and models in the current line up as well as talk us through The Batch 45 - a series of limited edition guitars dedicated to the original 38 model.
