About Gretsch Falcon
The Gretsch Falcon was introduced as a concept guitar in 1954 by Gretsch's Jimmie Webster, the Gretsch Falcon was designed as the "ultimate dream guitar" and a "guitar of the future"! The Falcon caused such a stir with onlookers that Gretsch had to immediately put it into production; since then it has been a staple in the Gretsch lineup and used by countless musicians worldwide! The extravagant white and gold look of the Falcon has captivated many and even today it commands the stage with a confidence like none other. Today the Gretsch Falcon is still produced to an extremely high quality with features such as a spruce top, laminated maple back and sides, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware and more. This hollow body guitar can be seen in the hands of players such as Billy Duffy, Neil Young, Richard Fortus, and even John Frusciante, so it's easy to see that this guitar is still taking stages by storm just like it did in 1954!
