About G&L

G&L were founded in the late 1970s by Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and Dale Hyatt. Building on the success and attraction of the iconic designs by both George and Leo. The pair continued to develop the guitars they had designed years prior and continued to have them built in the same area, on Fender Avenue in Fullerton California.

Over the years they continued to innovate with electronics, hardware, and construction methods. Such innovations include the Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, the Dual Fulcrum Vibrato, and the Saddle-Lock Bridge all of which are still used today. G&L continues to honour the legacy of its founders updating designs for the modern day utilising the innovations that had been laid out.

G&L guitars are still built in Fullerton California, there is also a more accessible range built in Indonesia which offer the refined designs and innovative electronics to a wider audience.
