About Fender Classic Player

The Fender Classic Player series is a great idea. Let some of Fender Custom Shop's most revered Master Builders design a line of guitars to their own favourite spec, then have them made at the Mexico factory for a very reasonable price! This is how the Classic Player Baja Telecaster came about, one of Fender's biggest selling guitars.

The Classic Player Series begins with classic models, for example a 60s style Stratocaster, but strays from historical accuracy as and when the designer wants to implement something else. For example, that same 60s Stratocaster has a 12" fingerboard radius, a much flatter value than actual 60s Strats. This is in keeping with the ethos of the whole idea and, as a collection, it works superbly well.

The Fender Classic Player Series is comprised of a relatively large range of Stratocasters, Telecasters, Jazzmasters and Jaguars. It is a perennially popular series of guitars and we therefore stock an excellent selection of Classic Player Fenders at every UK gutarguitar store.
