Fender amps are primarily known for their clean sound which has a rich, round low end and sparkling treble. They are most commonly thought of as ‘scooped’ sounding, which means they don’t have a huge amount of treble. In reality there’s a bit more variation than this throughout the Fender amp range. For example, 50s era ‘Tweed’ amps actually have a fair amount of midrange and a throaty overdriven sound.
