The Fender American Elite Telecaster offers an upgraded experience of the world's first mass produced solid body electric guitar.

On top of the usual USA Fender quality, the Elite Tele has a number of excellent additions: noiseless pickups (4th generation vintage voiced models), locking tuners, a neck with a compound profile (it thins out the higher you go) and a fingerboard with a compound radius of 9.5-14".

An S1 switch gives you series/parrallel switching options, allowing you to enjoy some very humbucker-esque sounds from your single coil pickups! Question: The American Elite Telecaster has a compound radius fingerboard. What is this?
A compound radius fingerboard is a fingerboard that begins with a certain radius (curvature of fingerboard) at the headstock end and gradually flattens out to a much flatter value at the high end of the board. Compound radius fingerboards give the best of both worlds: a comparatively rounded board for chording and a flatter one for soloing.
Question: How do the locking tuners work?
The locking tuners make life easy! They have a 'tooth' that bites down on string, holding it in place. The string is then tuned up with a relative lack of turns, so effective is the design. You simply pass a string through the hole in the tuner, clamp it down with a quick turn of the tuner's back, clip the excess off and then simply tune to pitch. This will not take long to do and your tuning will be rock solid!
Question: What are v4 Noiseless pickups?
Fender Noiseless pickups are a set of completely passive (no batteries required!) pickups that use shielding technology to dramatically reduce the amount of background hum and noise prevalent in single coil pickups, particularly when they are heavily overdriven. This is the 4th generation of the technology, which has improved every time.
Question: What is an S1 switch?
An S1 switch is a small button built into the top of a Fender control knob. It can have many uses, though fender tend to have it on their guitars as a coil splitter for the pickups or a series/parallel curcuit changer. On the Fender American Elite Telecaster, engaging the S1 switch changes the normal Parallel switching into series, adding some useful new flavours to your tonal palette.
