Dobro are a brand of Resonator guitars. They are one of the original resonator manufacturers, beginning back in 1928. Since then, Dobro guitars have made historically accurate resonator models including the 'Hound Dog' range.

Dobro resonators can have bodies made of a mixture of wood and metal or entirely metal. Their necks can by round or square, depending on the application.
