About ESP Guitars
ESP guitars have been one of the top choices for hard rock and metal electric guitars for decades now. ESP was founded in Tokyo, Japan and many models are still made there. With several high profile performers choosing to play ESP, their visibility as a brand is very strong. This is backed up by a famously high level of quality, sound and playability.
There are several ranges in the ESP family. ESP guitars are their highest quality production instruments made in Japan. E-II is a newer range of Japanese instruments that bridges the gap between LTD and ESP. LTD is the most affordable and often-seen range of guitars which offer excellent value for money. The LTD line even features signature models from James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Stephen Carpenter.
Specifications are tailored more to the harder rock/metal player with high output pickups and many models featuring locking tremolos. Whether it is an ESP, E-II or ESP LTD, the same body shapes are available such as the Horizon, the Viper and the Eclipse. A wide variety of colours are available, including more unusual choices such as purple. We think that there is an ESP to suit almost every metal player out there.
