Question: What is the connection between Guild and Epiphone?
This goes back a looong way... Back in the fifties, Epiphone decided to move production of their guitars away from New York City. A large number of staff members objected and complained. The plans went ahead regardless and as a result, those staff members got together and formed a 'guild' of guitar makers which quickly became Guild guitars.
